Student Travel Release of Liability

Launch Ministries, Inc. does not provide or facilitate transportation for students and does not monitor how students travel to and from Launch Pad sites. However, volunteer teachers, staff, and, in some cases, shuttle bus drivers may transport students when necessary to and/or from Launch Pad sites. Travel may include walking, driving a car, or riding in a friend’s car. Students and parents decide on appropriate travel methods and they may coordinate with other parents to help ensure that students who need a ride have a ride. Parents are responsible for monitoring how their students travel to and from Launch Pad sites and for communicating to their students whether they have permission to ride in friend’s vehicles.

By signing below, I acknowledge that Launch Ministries does not provide, facilitate, or monitor transportation for students and hereby release and discharge all past, present or future claims and causes of action, including negligence claims, that the registered student and parents and legal guardians of the registered student has or may have against Launch Ministries, Inc., and any related officer, director, member, employee, sponsor, agent and any other person acting by for or through any of them, for any liability, injury, damages, loss, accidents, delay, or irregularity resulting from, arising out of or in any way connected with the above named student’s travel to and from any Launch Pad site and any activity associated with Launch Ministries, Inc. A Note to Parents

Dear Parents, We are excited to have your student joining us in Launch Pad this semester and we would like to take a quick moment to tell you a bit about what we do! Our class is taught by a team of volunteers who are dedicated to sharing the truth of the gospel with our students. We show up every week to equip students with a biblical world view, to instill in them a passion to live for Jesus, and to build in them a confidence and graciousness to live out God’s purpose for their lives every day. Each semester we focus on a different curriculum. We cover a variety of biblical books, themes, and theological concepts including the plan of redemption that unfolds throughout the whole Bible, surveys of the Old and New Testaments, and apologetics. As many of you know, LP is a Christian release time class that meets off campus. We follow the regular class schedules and adhere to school district policies at each school, but as an off-site class, we keep our own attendance records. For that reason, if your student is absent, you will receive communication directly from one of our teachers asking you to confirm any absence. We greatly appreciate your response to this communication.
